     Welcome, I'm Whitney

When you are struggling with stress, conflicted relationships or concerned  about your child's well being, finding a therapist to help navigate this path is a welcome solace.

I chose a career in social work because I believe in the social justice principles that guide it. Prior to starting my own practice, I worked in a community mental health clinic seeing children and their families. I enjoyed this work very much. I have also held positions working with refugees, people with chronic illness, foster care children, and adults with serious and chronic mental health diagnosis. Additionally, I have had both personal and clinical training in working with those experiencing infertility.

And, at my core, I am down-right curious about all the world has to offer, specifically people and how complex and dynamic we all are. As I child I often worried my parents because I devoured non-fiction books about individuals who had faced trauma, or seemingly insurmountable circumstances (think- The Diary of Anne Frank). I couldn't get enough of these stories of how individuals managed trauma, loss and damaging relationships. And now, my dream profession involves me diving deep with people to explore their own experiences of pain. What an incredible honor it is to witness my clients face vulnerability and work to make sense of it. I'd love to join you on your own journey.
